People

Tim MansomTim Manson joined us in September 2012 as our Senior Pastor.  He is married to Vikki and they have four young children.  Tim grew up in Hanwell and worked in architecture before training for ministry at Oak Hill Theological College.  Vikki comes from Ealing and studied and taught chemistry.  They have spent their first four years of ministry at West Street Baptist Church in Dunstable.

Laurence TruettLaurence Truett is our church evangelist, working with us in partnership with London City Mission. Laurence studied on the Cornhill Training Course and has a professional background in Estate Agency. Coming from the West Country he has kept up his passion for surfing, and married Amy in October 2008.

Paul ThompsonPaul Thompson, our Assistant Pastor, is from Northern Ireland. He studied Computer Science at Queen's, Belfast, and worked in the IT sector before training for Ministry at Oak Hill Theological College. He met his wife Yu Li there; she now works in the airline industry. Paul enjoys the gym, dabbling with everything computer-related, and is responsible for training and mentoring at Gunnersbury.

Elders and Deacons

paulPaul Vogt is married to Helen and has 3 children. Works as a project manager for a large international printing company. Has attended GBC for about 20 years, apart from a 3 year period when living in the USA. Paul is an elder and heads up our youth and children's ministry.

Barry McGovernBarry McGovern joined the church 30 years ago, and is married to Janet, with 3 children. He is a deacon with responsibility for the church fabric. Barry teaches technology in a prep school, where he has led many teams to the finals of the 'eco-marathon' contest.

Nigel EdwardsNigel Edwards first came to Gunnersbury in 1970, and became a Christian in 1971. He serves as an elder. He has 3 children, and has recently retired from working as a pharmacist for Hounslow Primary Care Trust.

Wendy BarberWendy Barber serves as deacon, and organises many of the events in the church. Formerly Wendy was a special needs teacher, and is a rugby and other sports enthusiast.

Marian MorrisMarian and Brian Morris have been attending the church for 40 years. Marian organises many events, and serves as a deacon. She recently retired from being a secretary in a GP's practice, enjoys theatre, cinema, gardening, badminton, and walking in the countryside.

Daniel MaloneyDaniel Maloney is married to Raffi, and they have children James, Henry and Eliza. Daniel works as an architect.

Rob WilkinsonRob Wilkinson serves as an elder, and is also responsible for music in the church. Married to Katie and with 2 young children, Rob joined Gunnersbury 17 years ago. Rob is a watchmaker by training, and currently works in the mobile phone industry.

Jonathan MilneJonathan Milne works in management consultancy, and is church secretary. He is married to Abigail and they have 3 young children. Jonathan plays flute and sax, and the Milnes enjoy entertaining.

paul_bPaul Bombal Paul grew up in South Africa, and has lived in the UK for 11 years. He serves as a deacon and is married to Ashley, also a South African, whom he met in Spain. Paul currently works as a Technical PM in the IT sector. Interests include playing squash, chess and occasional golf.

Bruce DuguidBruce Duguid is the church treasurer. He works for the Carbon Trust, engaging with business leaders over environmental issues. Bruce and Lois have recently completed the total renovation of their house in Stamford Brook where they live with their two young boys.

James DavieJames Davie works in the financial sector and is a passionate rower and coach. He joined the church about 8 years ago.

 

In the Office

JeanJean is our administrator, responsible for keeping everyone and everything shipshape. Jean worked with WEC, a Christian missionary organisation, for over thirty years before her retirement, serving in the Gambia and in WEC's UK office, in Gerard's Cross, Bucks.
