Who are we

We are an evangelical church. That means that we recognise the authority of the Bible and seek to live out its teaching in a relationship with Jesus Christ. We are serious about the Christian faith, and passionate to see it transforming lives. Gunnersbury is a 'Baptist' church, which means essentially two things: firstly, we are self-governing, and are entirely responsible for that we do. Secondly, we believe that when a person comes to their own decision to follow Christ they should be baptised. That said, people from various church backgrounds and none are happy to worship with us. The church is independent from any denomination, but we enjoy strong relationships with other churches, both locally and further afield. We are a member of the Fellowship of Independent Evangelical Churches.
